ABIDING IN THE WORD

Science has spent millions of dollars to develop the physical body of man. Additional millions have been spent developing man's intellectual processes, which are a part of his soul. But we know so little and have done so little about developing the spirit of man.

However, man's spirit can be educated and improved just as his mind can be educated and improved. The spirit can be trained and built up just as the body can be built up. How? Through the study of God's Word.

We cannot understand spiritual things with our natural minds. Our minds must be changed—renewed by God's power—for us to fully understand the Word of God.

The Apostle Paul said, "But the natural man receiveth not [does not understand] the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned [understood]" (1 Cor. 2:14).

The Word of God was given by the Spirit of God, because "... holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (2 Peter 1:21). This is why the natural mind cannot understand God's Word. The Bible can only be understood with the heart. We must get the revelation of it in our spirit.

Once a man is born again and becomes a child of God, he can understand the Bible and can learn spiritual things. As Paul said, he has become a new creature in Christ Jesus: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Cor. 5:17).

This process of training the spirit—of building it up in spiritual things—is a daily task: "... though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day" (2 Cor. 4:16)…..Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin.

We must develop our inward or inner man with the word of God. “Till we all come in the unity of faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:13). It is never God’s plan to cause confusion between His children “for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints” (1 Cor. 14:33); we can now see that God wants us to come to the unity of His faith, unto the Knowledge of His Son, to a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. But How?

By training our spirit, by feeding our spirit with the word of God. They are all based on the word of God. ABIDING IN THE WORD; “Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning remains in you, ye also shall continue in the Son and in the Father” (1 Jon. 2:24). Let the word of God remain in you, we have to exercise them to be part of our life, live the word, be the doer not only the hearer of the word-- to come to the fullness of Christ. “…which you have heard from the beginning”, the very beginning of your new self, which you have heard from the beginning (Alpha and Omega); The Genesis of our Christian life. I pray, by the end of this study, you will be saturated by the word of God, there is going to be a Supernatural Metamorphosis. Jesus said, "... Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matt. 4:4).

HIS SPIRIT

God created man in his image and likeliness such that man’s actions will reflect His nature. The Bible says God breath into the body the breath of life which is the spirit. He created man in His shape and likeliness; from His Spirit. That’s why the Christian is born of the Spirit not of the flesh; we do not live by blood but by the spirit. God gave man dominion and the authority to create; to subdue the earth. He did not just give us fish to eat, He also thought us how to fish. This is the believer’s authority, we can also say “let there be”. That is why Jesus said "it is finished" to notify that, God’s work on earth is done, He now carries His work through us. He is seated on His throne expecting a glorious end. The Bible says at Mathew 18:18, 16:19 that, “… whatsoever thou shall bind on earth shalt be bound in heaven; whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven ” which means, heaven is backing us in authority. LET THERE BE!!!

It is not by might nor power, but by the Spirit of God, who lives in us. We have the Spirit of He who raised Jesus from death, we have Him in us. Therefore start exhibiting the nature of God, that is what He expects from you. This is the believer’s authority. God did not just leave us as orphans, He gave us His Spirit. He wants to see His sons doing great things on earth. He experts greater things from us more than what He did on earth. What is your testimony? Manifest the things of God, allow Him to explore. God opened a way for the Israelites, but His son walked on the surface of waters.
